What happeng?

Like in a trance, I woke up feeling lost and confused. What happened?? Is there another type of "swine" flu breaking out in Perak? Swine = gila, right? Back and forth, back and forth. Yes, no, appeal, re-appeal. Apa lah sudah terjadi. I wonder how much that TREE costs if it was auctioned on eBay. Then there's the swine flu. The real one lah. Causing havoc only. Bodoh. Could our economy be affected by this swine flu as well? I don't think so, cos we hardly hear about the economy as much as the report on the flu these days. Yep, this could well be the purpose -- talk more on the swine so we don't highlight much on the economy.

Then there's the violence, the rape cases (oh, this has been quite constant in our country. Next!). American Idol just ended last week... don't care. Akademi Fantasia also ended not long ago too... don't care (except Sarawakian first time won! Hooray). Then there's the Mat Rempits or what is now called "Penjenayah Jalanraya" or "Road Criminals". Aih, what happeng to the other road criminals? Those like you and me who drive in our selfish manners (most times quite dangerously). Are we potential road criminals? Or swine drivers? Nevermind lah.

Tamil Tiger leader was killed. Hmm... okay. Sure or not...?? Orang Ulu to be called Lun Dayeh... @#$%!*@&! Somalian pirates still showing off their big dicks, I mean big guns! Can we go and declare war there instead? Bush can you do that? Oh... forgot. Bush already planning his own escape.

Gawai is coming up soon. Oooha! More drinking -- erm, maybe not. I've cut down quite a fair bit. I look forward to playing golf though. Exercise lah. Also looking forward to resting a bit after travelling a fair bit for my road safety project. Imagine I have to do this every year -- taking up to half-a-year's weekends -- for maybe the next 10 years?? Astaga... Better I be a YB. But I won't entertain meetings under the tree.

My Gmail has been compromised. @#$%^*&(!!!!!!! I can't access it anymore and someone's been playing "me" on gtalk! Aaargh! Psycho freak! Give back my gmail account! Bastard. Bitch. Animal. Just give it back. My Facebook also been compromised. @#$%^*&(!!!!!!! I want to kill that pyscho freak! Must be the same person. Now I can't access my FB. I can't reset the password cos it goes to my gmail account (yes, the one that's been compromised). I hate. I HATE!! Worst thing is I can't even find a bloody email contact to Google or Gmail support. What da heck!?? How to ask for help? What? Look atthe help list is it? Langsut lah. That thing doesn't help my case. How to tell them it doesn't help? Cannot cos I can't email them.

Breathe... Breathe...
Oh I did strike 4D the other day -- 3rd prize. Not bad. HA HA!
And and... Happy Belated bday Cmate!! hee.

If you don't hear from me soon... dun worry. I'll be back. In the meantime, I'm planning my million curses for the pyscho-freak.

Adios.

Don't know how to write lah

Yo yo yo! So, I was told to update my blog. Aiya... I haven't had time (cough) to actually write. Well, that's not entirely true. Since moving across the sea separating PenM and EM, I think I've spent more time learning acronyms. Like -- PenM, and EM! Sorry, I created that myself. Don't want to start sounding stupid when you're surrounded by "smart" people in my (new) line of work.
But writing, I have done. In different forms -- regret letters, approval letters, condemning letters (just kidding!). Mostly regret letters, since this is the time of regrets: "Sorry sir, due to the economic downturn, we are unable to grant you the request. We regret the situation but hope for a better future for us all. Well, mainly for us but we don't mind wishing you luck as well. So, good luck! You'll need it! Sincerely, Bearuang." hee...
So what's everyone been up to? I spent most of my time in the office, and in another office -- the kind where you walk out either feeling chirpy, quirky, or plain drunk; never sexy. Burpppp! Yea, it's that kind of time-wasting (Noooo... Langkaufiction will say "NoooOOOoo" to that) place that keeps me occupied cos I don't really have much to do after work. Not that I have that much to do at work either... muahaHAHA. No no... that's not true. I retract my statement (boohoo).
I want to write. I mean, write again like I did when I was rubbing shoulders with the upper socs. But I don't even know if I can string two sentences together and make it sound like something from err, Mills & Boon?? [Back to the future - it's 2003]: "Use simple English. Simple English" -- yes, I won't forget what my editor used to remind me. Ok lah, I won't complicate things. I shall leave writing off my mind lah. Aih... what da heck am I doing now then? Crapping? Yes yes... crapping I am.
Anyways... there's a psycho lurking in FB right now. Ok. I won't divulge more. There's a psycho lurking in FB... I mean Pee Ass Why See Hatch Oh! Wo... Man! Be careful. Some people with phucked up personalities are floating around. Block if you need to. Delete if you need to!! Aargh! I don't know what I'm blabbering about.

See... I don't know how to write anymore.
I say YO to my favourite Liverpool fan! ;)

Adios...

Be like a blogger...

Three days ago, I went to Starbucks at Centrepoint to meet a lady friend and this new guy I got to know after I started working at MUD. We were there to talk about the merits of the new media. Not the bloggers. I mean "new media" -- the merging of online, mobile, video, etc. That "new media".

Basically we were discussing the merits of it when this blogbabe walked past us. We all stopped talking (well my lady friend and I did). This new dude was still on power-drive. I was just nodding absently while staring at her walking further away. My lady friend was not so affected by her presence but she couldn't help but noticing me looking rather "in my own world". "Hey you okay?" she asked. "Ya am fine," I told her. She turned around to look at what it was that got me so occupied. "Is that..."

"Yes," I said before she could finish her question. So there we were - two editors (and non-efficient bloggers), looking at a well-known blogger. For me, it was like seeing a superheroine in her normal disguise. People were oblivious to her. Well, that wasn't so true either. The guys were checking her out; so I noticed. And then, this CEO dude noticed that we weren't paying him any attention. He turned to look as well. "So who's that?"

"Err... this gal blogger. Fireangel. Heard of her?" she asked. "Ya I think so. She's quite famous oso right? "I guess it looks like that," I added. "But I like her stuff. It's basic and to the point. No frills kinda thing. There are those who go beyond just doing it for fun. Especially once they start making money through doing branding work," I smiled.

He smiled. "True. Like that one blogger... always see her face at glamour events. Now, she has to write very cordial stuff. Now become like a writer except online. There's more restraint now."

Then the conversation suddenly diverted to being celeb bloggers. "You know, you guys are writers. Now editors. You should be like them bloggers. See, they make full use of their online presence," he commented. "What do you mean?" I asked. "Yalah, you guys already know how to write. Why not do something online and be famous. Then you can attend all these parties, become the celebrity. What a waste. You guys will always be doing the writing for others, " he said.

He actually got me wondering: I've been with the print media for several years now. We do all the reporting... technically the same thing like bloggers but we have to write them properly minus all the rantings and the vanity. We have real deadlines. But we don't get treated like some bloggers. You are paid to do this job whereas they just do it for fun but in the end they get paid for doing something for fun. As for us, we're in the same shit-hole all the time.

I remember one time this writer nugged me at a watch boutique opening: "Look at them. We work like mad bringing their brand news to the public and they'd rather crown these people. [Points at some celeb bloggers] And some of them don't even talk nice about the brands in their blogs yet they are rewarded. What do we get? A paper-weight? Who needs a fucking paper-weight these days when you have a laptop or a pc?! Maybe later they'll give us some cheapo watch? Probably rejects from their factory. And to think that I have to go back to office and write about how glitzy their opening was. Shit man."

I just smiled at him. It didn't really bother me cos I figured that we all have our duties and we all have our dues one way or another. But I can't deny feeling a bit cut from his words. Heck, there I was the editor of this magazine (while hearing him say all this) staring at an ex-deputy editor of the magazine I am in now, who was standing all celebrity-looking upfront. And he didn't even get to editor-level. So yes, it did cut. Just a bit.

Back to Starbucks and my two friends. After keeping quiet for a while, I said to my new friend: "You know what, I like being a writer. I may not be that good at it but I am a writer and I've done some worthy articles on print. I may not be a great nor close to being a competent blogger, but I do blog. I blog because I just want another avenue to write the way I want to write. It's not a means to vent my frustrations alone but more of a means to a freeform writing style, deviating from the writing style of our magazine. So if you think you wanna make money out of blogging and be some celeb, please, go ahead."

My lady-friend just stared at me. HE stared at me.

Suddenly he laughed. "Aiya! You ah. We talk about this interactive thing instead lah. Sure can make more money."

We all smiled at each other. "Yes, let's do that instead," I said, finishing my fifth Mocha for the day.

Double-Booking Crap!

If there's one thing I hate about golfers, is when they double book people for a game. Phuck. And worst is when you're the one on the receiving end: "Sorry the group is full". And that's right after you told them to give you 30 minutes to get back to them. This has happened to me numerous times and it still pisses me off.

If I called you and told you that we've got one empty slot to play golf tomorrow, and then you told me that you'll get back to me in half an hour (cos you need to clear off all your appointments tomorrow), and by the time you call back to say that you are confirm to play, I then told you that I found someone else already---cos that "someone" called a few minutes before you did---wouldn't you be pissed off??! And why are you asking so many people just for one bloody slot? You might as well put it on the auction board and everyone can bid for the bloody slot.

Where's the phuckin courtesy? Fine. I mean it's only golf. It's only like, my FAVOURITE PASTIME! CB. Makes you feel like you're a sparetyre. Playing second-fiddle. Oh, the guy called few minutes before I did? Well, why didn't you phuckin tell him that you already asked me and you're waiting to see if I can play or not? And to think that golfers are supposed to have ettiquete. Bullshit lah. You can find most ettiquete-less people on the golf course.

Now what da hell am I suppose to do tomorrow? My appointments are cancelled and it's not nice for me to tell them "Oh sorry I got played out from my golf game tomorrow. So yea, can I retract my cancellation with you? Cos you know, you're not as important as my golf, so I can change my mind about your appointment as and when I feel like it"
Hee hee...dua-kali lima lah...bodoh eh.

Thaipusam a public holiday for Federal Territories

Finally! After so many years, Federal Territories gets the public holiday it deserves for Thaipusam.
Later this email came through announcing the happy news:

Dear everyone,

It was announced by our Prime Minister, that Federal Territories (KL and Putra jaya) will be included this Wednesday 23rd January (Thaipusam) public holidays.

It is therefore not compulsory to attend work this Wednesday, unless you feel oblige to do so.

Federal Territory Day is still a public holiday for KL and Putrajaya. No further announcements from the Prime Minister have been made regarding this thus far.

Yes great indeed! Just like the err...interesting...email

OK FINE! Was this an email joke??

"...Will be included this Wednesday..." I sincerely hope it's not just THIS WEDNESDAY only!

"Federal Territory Day is still a public holiday..." Well, of COURSE IT IS!
"No further announcements..." For what? Announcing that FT Day is NOT going to be a holiday??! Don't you dare!
"It is therefore not compulsory to attend work..." But really, I want to come to work!
"Unless you feel oblige to do so" Oh...my...lord...

Ha ha! Funny lah! But it's all good! All good!

Saw the Fire at Heritage Mansion

Wah...I finally went out to a club after so many months (sorry, more like two years). I made my way to AHR and got myself into the latest addition of clubs at the AHR. The Heritage Mansion looked nice.

Of course I don't pay much attention to aesthetic values (ok the deco was great), as long as they have toilets (clean preferably), the drinks menu should be comprehensive (aiyah, got my tiger beer is okay I guess), service is efficient (rude and lip-pouting servers should have thought ten times about working at clubs), no techno (my head's done enough shaking for the past 10 years), enough space to lounge or at least a place for me to stand at the bar (I love looking like a loser gulping my beer on my own while everywhere around me people are going crazy). Dance floor? Nah. Am not into that no more. These days you don't need to a dance floor to dance. You can just groove it wherever you are.

Like that Friday nite when I decided to go to HM to meet my friends. Of course I begged one of them to put my name on the VIP list cos heck, I'm no VIP or Celebrity. But then again not all on the VIP list could afford to buy a few bottles of Johnnies that nite too I'm sure. So how like dat?? At least I bought two...ha ha..(wat a bitter bearuang I am). Anyway I digress.

So, there I was enterting the VIP section. (I heard only 500 are privileged to be members of this area--hold on--Wuaaaaahhhh! Special nyer... ;P ). Saw Mimi and her crew. Some that I know in their group can even pretend that I'm invinsible. Biasalah. Then they moved to another settee after I sat down across from them...hmm...maybe I wasn't dressed to the nines. I forgot my stilettos too. Oh well, moving on, I immediately found a soft spot on the sofa and made myself comfortable--ignoring the happenings around me--and focusing on my Johnnie. Ah..it was exquisite.
And then adjacent to our settee, I saw this girl grooving away...aih...it was Fireangel. I almost dropped my glass in awe! I mean I only read her blog (religiously) before I start work each day...and I can't believe that someday I'd see her in real life. Obviously I'm too chicken-shit to go and say "hi". After reading her blogs, I'm quite scared she mite bite my head off with her swearing. But damn-it, those swearings just makes her even hotter. Ha ha. And she is stunning in real life. I attest to that.

So that was basically the highlight of my night at Heritage Mansion. The place is nice. I'm sure I'll get a better view of what's in every nook of the place when we feature it in the magazine. The companionship was great. Some people were stuck-up but who gives a shit--we all suffer the same hangovers anyways. And seeing Fireangel for the first time in real life, that awe feeling was just like when I sat down with Cindy Crawford in her dressing room, hearing every word streaming from her lucious lips, while dreaming that I was actually lying down somewhere in the Carribeans and she was massaging my feet (reflexology wat!). Thank goodness my recorder was on while she spoke. Ha ha...Ok ok...this is too much lah. But it was all good.

But...it's not good enough!

I was just on msn with my young niece. She got her UPSR (Primary Six) results today: 4As 1B. She was really upset with it.

"You did well. Look at those who failed, or kids who can't even afford to go to school. You've done well and consider yourself privileged," I told her. She replied, "You can't compare us." I asked why not. "It's not good to compare. Cos you'll end up being bitter or vain," she said. I was amazed. I never thought about that but yes, she was right. "Never compare or else you'll end up feeling bitter or vain, for there is always someone better or lesser than you." At her tender age, she could tell me, a 34-year-old, some good piece of advice.

In the end, it wasn't so much her results that made me so proud of her (well, yes, getting 4As 1B is really good already), but it was her reply to me earlier today---despite being really down and sad for not getting the 5As that she dreamt of, that she worked hard for---that really made me proud of her. I know that from here onwards, that she will grow up to be a wonderful person. A charismatic leader. An achiever.

And those words of hers for me, was good enough.

It's ok lah...

So, I've been staring at photos of food the whole morning with my colleagues. Also checking out blogs on food. I manage a F&B mag you see...something that I never thought I'd be doing one day. Considering that I never did enjoy doing restaurant reviews before. I mean, what do I know about food (besides eating and gobbling)? My answer is always the same: "Ok lah". How's the bruscetta? "Ok lah". How's the tempura moriawase? "Ok lah". How's the Brazil lamb shank with shallot mashed potatoe? "Erm..ok..lah" Sigh...How's the pan-fried unagi and foie gras?? "Erm...nice? Well..ok lah"

But here I am, doing my fifth issue of the magazine that started out in September this year. Something that materialised from a simple chit-chat about doing a one-or-two pager on something F&B related. Now, it has spawned into a full-fledge F&B magazine that covers restaurant reviews, feature articles, recipes, restaurant listings, etc. Help!! I hope never to utter the words "home reviews" too ever. That's another one of those "descriptive writing" that I'm so edgy about. Throw me a personality feature and I'll do it willingly and sometimes, with my eyes closed (literally).

But I guess work is work. We have to see the business objective, the long-term plans and the vision of the company. So one has to work in-line with what the shareholders/management wants. Tough and in cases such as this, becomes something you have to force yourself to like, for the sake of a better future. Ok, I'm not saying that I don't enjoy it at all---I do like going to the restaurants and sample all the delicious food. All those rich food. My gawd. You have the fine dining outlets and then there are the easy-chic restaurants. Hope to do the uber chic ones too like Frangipani.

Oh well..just rambling lah. Let's see how this mag goes. In the meantime, I think I better go off for lunch. I'm sure the food will be "Ok lah".

So how's your roasted duck breast with foie gras sir? "Ok lah!"

Adios.

Riding For Granted

This is one issue that still sizzles: Mat Rempits...

And she was one lucky girl...

Saturday Night

I was out partying with some friends and this caucasian girl was with us. She's on a short working stint with a MNC here. We all had a lots of fun that night and as the night progressed, we were all getting into the mood and most of us were already beyond tipsy. So in the midst of partying, miss expat decided to go back. As you can see in the photo, she's poised to drink her Flamin Lambo. And before that she already had quite a number of beers and after the Flamin, there was more liquour. So yea, she has had enough and like any sensible person (if you can still think straight), the best thing to do is to head home; cos if you've had enough, man, YOU'VE HAD ENOUGH.

Anyways she told someone that she was going back and apparently asked the club security to help her get a cab. No cab came. So they suggested to her that maybe she could walk over to 7-Eleven, which was a short walk away. So she did exactly that and in her tipsy state, proceeded to the 24-hour outlet to try hailing a cab from there. She must've been trying to get a cab for a few minutes when a bunch of motorbikes came vrooming over. Seeing the girl---a pretty one and quite sexily clad---standing alone outside, one of the bikers started talking to her. Shortly after, she hopped on the guy's bike and within a few seconds, the caucasian girl was gone with the mat rempits.

I was standing outside the club talking to a friend when one of the security guards came over and spoke to me. "Do you have a mat salleh (caucasian) girl in your group?" he asked. "Yes, just one." He looked rather concerned. "She's wearing a singlet top right?" I nodded. "Well I think she left with a bunch of mat rempits," he said. For a moment I stood there, silent. "What??" I asked. "I saw her going on a motorbike. There were quite a few of them bikers. Mat rempits lah," he said as if trying to reassure himself.

I told him that's not possible. I mean, why would she just do that?? She wasn't completely plastered out of her mind. She seems very responsible too. "You can go and ask the staff at 7-Eleven. They saw her go off on the bike," said the burly guy. So I did. I walked over to one of the staff and asked. "Yes I did see one girl going on a bike with a bunch of other bikers. Dunno what she was doing with them," said the boy. "Was she mat salleh? Wears a singlet?" I asked. "Yes".

Panicked, I rushed back into the club and told my friends. They thought I was bullshiting or just plain drunk. Some even said there's no way she would just hop on a bike with a bunch of mat rempits. But that's it---DID SHE EVEN KNEW WHAT MAT REMPITS WERE??? Eventually they realised that I wasn't joking around, and proceeded to check with the security guard and a few even walked to 7-Eleven again. The story was verified and confirmed. Handphones came out of pockets...fingers frantically pressing numbers. Some were text messaging. One or two called the hotel, called her handphone. No news. Her phone was off. No answer from her hotel room either. Sobriety came quick to each one.

45 minutes passed. "Should we lodge a police report?" asked the security guard finally. I've thought of that too, but was hoping to hear something good, or anything from the other end of the phone line. Some sign that she was okay. "Not yet. We try again to look for her," I replied. Could the worst possibly happen here? Tonight? To a friend? That thought sent a chill down my spine.

Three of our friends left the club and drove to the hotel. The rest of us were still trying to get her on the phone. We knew her mobile phone was off but we just kept trying. When you become desperate, you tend to just do anything. So we kept dialling, text messaging. It was probably the longest 30-minutes ever for us to hear anything from our three friends. Finally a call came through my mobile. It was one of them. "Hi! She's here la! We went up to her room and started knocking and ringing the bell! She's okay!" I let out a sigh of relief.

The Day After

"Look, he was only a 16-year-old boy okay. How harmful could that have been aye??" she asked, looking surprised that we were all so worried sick about her the night before. "Were there a few of them? Like maybe, 15 at least?" one of the girls asked. "Yea about there." We all looked at each other horrified. "You know what, they are called mat rempits. Do you know what that means?" She didn't. "Well they're a bunch of guys on bikes that go around in big groups and usually they cause a lot of havoc to other road users. At times it can be something seriously damaging. Like people get hurt. People get killed. Maybe raped," another friend explained. "Oh come on he was just 16," she replied trying to reassure herself. "Dear, they usually are about that age!" Her face turned ash-white. "Oh my god...no wonder you guys were so worried. I'm so sorry I didn't know!" She kept apologising and kept thanking her lucky stars that nothing happened to her.

Yes, she was lucky. But what about next time? What about some other expats or visitors who don't know what mat rempits are? Who are so oblivious to these menacing road hogs?

Who was at fault here? The security guard---for not thinking beyond and show a little extra concern for their guests? The mat salleh girl---hitching a ride with a bunch of strangers on bikes because she thinks it's harmless? Or is it really on us---you, me, the government, the society...?

Party Effect

I woke up this morning with a very bad hangover. It's been a while since I've had such a traumatising wake-up. Ohh my. I wished the bed would just eat me alive. My legs absolutely refused to cooperate with me as I struggled to make it to the bathroom. Each step was torturous. The stale taste of beer, vodka, whiskey, tuak, and sangria was still lingering in my mouth. Eugh! In fact, I could feel the stink oozing from my skin. "Got to hit the shower now!" I willed myself.

I'm 34-years-old this year and finally, it dawned on me that I'm not--YOUNG. Trying to keep up with the much younger and energetic crowd last night was like going on a 5-minute aerobics exercise. Oh, trust me, I've tried aerobics once. And that was one of the most humiliating few minutes of my life. I couldn't even keep up with this 60-something lady next to me for godsake! Anyways...so last night's birthday bash for my sister-in-law was a great one. We all had a great time. The party started at about 8pm an outlet in Hartamas, and later we moved on back to our place. It ended at 5am for some of us. I crashed out around 4am. I can't remember how some got out of the house even. Hmm...

Yes...it was all fun until this morning. And you always regret having that extra drink or that extra packet of ciggies...then you start thinking how much of your body has gone into comatose---refusing to work with you ever again. That's scary. Moral of the story for me here: Know your limits brudder. You're not young anymore.

Oh well. Happy hour anyone??

I can't describe how I felt this morning any clearer than this image of me last night.

Pocket Space

You see my dear friend, if only I had one of these gadgets with me, I would save more space in my pocket...Of course to forego one of them would be the best thing (my goodness, I'm shock some of you are considering keeping the ciggarette part!). But yea, having both in one would definitely spare me some breathing space in my pocket.

[Word from your host: Don't smoke. It's bad for the health. Really...]

Now where's my damn lighter...!

Woi! Stop sniffing my foot!

Man...I can't imagine having one of these transformers on my feet. Or would I?? Hmm...

A Pastor's namecard

A new pastor was visiting in the homes of his parishioners. At one house it seemed obvious that someone was at home, but no answer came to his repeated knocks at the door. Therefore, he took out a business card and wrote "Revelation 3:20" on the back of it and stuck it in the door.

When the offering was processed the following Sunday, he found that his card had been returned. Added to it was this cryptic message : "Genesis 3:10." Reaching for his Bible to check out the citation, he broke up in gales of laughter. Revelation 3:20 begins with : "Behold, I stand at the door and knock." Genesis 3:10 reads : "I heard your voice in the garden and I was afraid for I was naked."

Remember when the funniest jokes were the clean ones? They still are!

Bye Miss G

Last Friday saw one of my colleagues parting ways with us after being with the company for a year (or more than that). It's kind of sad that no one really paid attention to her departure. With the exception of my editor and myself, almost everyone seemed more keen to celebrate the birthday of another colleague. Not that it's wrong. It's still a democratic country (right?). Miss G has been a great colleague and a great team member of the editorial department. I would think that without her, things would have gotten a bit too chaotic. Yes, she's very systematic and that's one of the things that I admire about her---more often than not, chaos, is the order of the day in a writers' daily work environment. Only they know how to sort their own work. But Miss G brought at least some order in the system for the rest of us to follow. That was good. She's also very efficient with her work. Which is another thing I find writers having problems with (I'm speaking for myself). Well not that it's a problem---it's just our nature. Anyways, too bad she's not part of the team anymore. It would've been nice to have her around. But people will come and go. We have to respect their decisions. And for the rest of us, we carry on. I still have Miss J around to work the challenge with me. Let's hope she won't exercise her democratic rights too soon. Otherwise I'll be drowning on my own. Now that'll be a real challenge. Just like anywhere you go or anything that you take on, the challenges will always be there. There's no bed of roses to lay down on (except if you're Bon Jovi). We just have to work our way through or around it. Yes, it's just another day in our lives.

We pray you all the success Miss G.

Traffic Fright

This traffic light ah...(before the underpass to go to Tropicana near Aman Suria)...has been the same colour (yellow), for the longest time ever! What kind of traffic light is this??! Might as well don't say traffic light, just call it "Traffic Fright"! I can't believe the authorities haven't sorted this thing out. And it's not like the cops have never driven by this place...they're always hiding somewhere further up to catch errant drivers! They should park an ambulance van near this traffic light cos one day, some day, there's gonna be a bad bad one happening here...Soon these pictures will reach some paper lah.

[This is where the cops like to hide. Sometimes slightly further back]

[This is what it looks like from all sides! Including the two on the far left and right]

Zombie Berhad

You know zombies? They roam around in their dragging pace? Well, okay, except the zombies in 28 Weeks Later (cos they RUN!). Gross-looking things they are, aren't they? But at least you know they are out to eat you. We do have them around us actually. But the ones that we know, they don't eat you literally (unless they are secretly cannibals), but they'll consume you till you feel like you're dead. Like zombies, they probably don't know what they're doing except just walking towards anything they can feast on. Besides that, I don't think zombies know how to strategise. They just roam and roam until they see some unlucky bastard, and they'll go towards that person. After devouring the person, they'll start wondering what is next. I don't think they have any direction. But they'll try to scare you and attack you so that you are helpless. I can't imagine working for a place like that. Maybe it's called Zombie Berhad.

MariƩ Digby?

I pray...please tell me, you've come across this name before? On Myspace? YouTube? MariƩ Digby (pronounced Mar-ee-ay Digby)? The half Irish/Japanese, California-based, YouTube sensation, who sang a cover version of Rihanna's "Umbrella"??? That great acoustic version??? She's great. We're currently trying to see if we could get an email interview with her for our mag. Fingers crossed.
Otherwise it'll be another bummer like not being able to get Norah Jones over here...sucks...

And The Truth Shall Set You Free

Not!

Ha ha. Oookaayy...Someday I'll have to write some serious piece of work instead of showing all these dramatic attachments (feigns a sigh). Finally I found some drawings that can explain how I truly feel! I mean...whoa! Like...finally! Phew...ok ok...enough. Enjoy! And ladies, we love you still... *wink*
