Rear end reaction

The front page headline of STAR on Jan 7, 2008, says "Killer overhang".

And the subhead states: "Miros: Lorry Extension dangerous".

The first paragraphs reads: "Extensions, or overhangs, that allow small trucks and lorries to carry longer and heavier loads are death traps on the roads."

All this, after a 45-year-old woman crashed her car into a lorry's overhang. It was fatal.

And as always, we ply our famous "reactive" trademark.

eee...2008, still looking the same lah...

Note: Ok ok...Miros [Malaysian Institute for Road Safety Research] has been investingating this issue since similar incidences happened before (total 5 fatal cases now). It's not their first "reaction" lah. So kudos to them for trying their best. I heard got like CSI equivalent team somemore man. But move a bit faster lah if possible. In meantime, let's all avoid overhang lorries like plagues if we can help it.

In another latter news, it was stated that although crimes have increased in 2007 compared to 2006, there was less violent ones. Hmm...should I clap or how?
